MeetingPulse R140 Release Notes

Reporting: Control order of polls

Problem: You want to create a PDF for management of the polls in a certain order

Solution: Put the polls in the order you want them displayed before ending the meeting.

Now when you end a meeting, the automatic report will put the polls in the order you had in the Presenter view. This way you can drag and drop the questions to the order you want.

Reporting: Select Timezone

Problem: You want to share the report results with executives, but UTC is difficult to read.

Solution: Use our new timezone selector

Without any adjustment, you’ll see the UTC time. This makes it tricky to determine which speaker’s slides are being requested.

Now, simply select your local timezone you need at the top of the report.

This changes the date stamp to local time so it’s easy to tell which slides to send.

Ideas

Ideas: Print-friendly report

Problem: You had a great brainstorming session but now you need to share the results with everyone else.

Solution: Use the print-friendly report to create a PDF to share.

The print-friendly view includes a list of the ideas submitted, along with the number of votes it got.

Ideas: Updated header/counter

Problem: When moderating ideas it’s hard to keep track of what’s been approved or discussed.

Solution: Use the new header that includes a count of ideas.

Each status of the ideas has a count of how many ideas are in it. This makes it easy to notice when new ideas are submitted and need to be approved.

The “Later” counter lets you monitor if there is time at the end of the session to go over the ideas marked “later”.

Ideas: Speaker View

Problem: The facilitator running the brainstorming session is distracted by the other features.

Solution: Use the speaker view (available for Q&A and Ideas)

The speaker will see all the ideas that have been approved by the moderator. They can mark the ideas as Done or Later, which will remove that idea from their view.

The speaker can also reply to individual ideas or even edit them. The broadcast button highlights that suggestion in the Broadcast view (hiding all the other suggestions.)

The speaker and moderator can communicate through private messages. These messages are listed at the top of the brainstorm.

Enable Speaker mode by going to Settings > Settings > Speaker mode

Next, you need to share the brainstorm with the speaker.

Ideas: Shortcut to Nav

Problem: You want to make sure the audience participates in your most important brainstorm.

Solution: Pin that brainstorm to the bottom nav bar!

In the Brainstorm Settings, you can click the Add shortcut to nav button.

Enter a short label, less than 16 characters. Now your audience will see that label on the bottom nav bar! “Engagement” has replaced Ideas.

Ideas: Focus

Problem: You want to make sure everyone moves on to the next brainstorm

Solution: Use Focus to push the attendee’s devices to show that brainstorm.

Simply click on the Focus button for the brainstorm and the audience will be brought directly to that idea.

Ideas: Brainstorm title in BV

Problem: With multiple brainstorms going on, it’s difficult to tell what the question is in the broadcast view.

Solution: The brainstorm question is shown at the top of the idea feed

The new Broadcast view includes the link to the meeting and the question text.

It doesn’t include the details included in the “more information” section.

Polls: Hide Results enhancement

Problem: You want to focus the audience’s attention on the Broadcast view instead of their phones

Solution: Use “Hide results in attendee view” under Poll Settings

There are two places to control the display of the audience’s responses to your polls. In Poll Settings, “Hide results in attendee view” controls the attendee’s devices.

If it’s turned on, it hides the audience’s overall results; each attendee will only see their own answer. This will apply to all the polls in the meeting, but it will not change the broadcast view.

When “Hide results” is enabled in your meeting, you can use the “Results Shown” option on individual polls to control the display in the broadcast view.

When “Hide results in attendee view” is turned off (not selected), attendees can see the audience’s overall results on each poll after they vote. This is only when the poll has “Results Shown” selected.

When you have disabled “hide results” for the meeting and set the poll to “Results Hidden”, then that poll’s results will be hidden on both the attendee view and the broadcast view.
